Rosslyn Farms

A scant 6 miles west of Pittsburgh is a quaint, woodsy community called Rosslyn Farms. Situated on a high hillside above a meandering stream, the 189 homes in Rosslyn Farms were constructed right around the turn of the century. I like this compact town because, unlike most of the municipalities built in Pittsburgh during the glory years of the Arts and Crafts Movement, Rosslyn Farms is not densely populated. The homes are on quiet, out-of-the-way streets, on large wooded lots.

This was not the best day to take photos. It was high noon with overcast skies which gave these wonderful homes a washed-out appearance. But the weather was uncommonly warm for late March and I couldn't resist snapping a few shots. Hope you enjoy them!
